Estos días se encuentra trabajando en Madrid la bailarina y coreógrafa Avatâra Ayuso, cabeza visible de AVA Dance Company, con sede en Londres. El motivo no es otro que el estreno de ‘Divertimento’, una nueva pieza para cinco bailarinas inspirada por la frenética música de Debussy y Ravel. Para ello Avatâra está trabajando con estudiantes del Joven Ballet Impulsa de Carmina Ocaña y Pablo Savoye, que serán los encargados de llevarla al escenario del Centro Cultural Paco Rabal de Madrid.

Los bailarines Igor y Moreno nominados en los 16º Premios Nacionales de Danza del Reino Unido por Idiot-Syncrasy

Igor Urzelai y Moreno Solinas son dos bailarines con sede en Londres que llevan ya varios años presentando sus espectáculos de danza por toda Europa. Desde 2007 colaboran y trabajan juntos, recuperando sus raíces sardas y vascas a través de unas coreografías caracterizadas por su interés en explorar el cuerpo en movimiento y la inmediatez de la acción como vehículo de significado, ideas y deseos.
Reto, estímulo o desafío. Da igual. Todas son palabras a las que Tamara Rojo, actual directora del English National Ballet (ENB), parece no temer. Lest we forget ha sido la última prueba de ello. Este homenaje inspirado en el centenario de la Primera Guerra Mundial ha logrado reunir en Madrid a tres de los mejores coreógrafos británicos bajo la batuta de la artista española.
